The Coalition “Under the Magnifier“ – for free and fair elections was founded by seven non-govermental organizations (NGOs) from Bosnia and Herzegovina for the purpose of creating a civilian monitoring mission for general elections in October 2014. The Coalition has its head office in Sarajevo and seven regional offices housed within the coalition's constituent organizations.
The Coalition was established with the intention of reintroducing the practice of massive civil non- partisan election monitoring in BiH and to give citizens the opportunity to serve as observers. Citizens will observe and report on any irregularities that may occur and during the electoral process, which will reduce irregularities and prevent manipulation of the elections. The coalition also animates, organizes and trains professional observers to monitor election-related activities, such as campaigns and media.
