Open data training in Gdańsk
On September 20, together with Katherine Klosek from The Center for Government Excellence, we conducted an open data training for the Gdańsk City Hall officers. Gdańsk is the first city in Poland that joined our Open Cities project and adopted the policy of openness and the first city in Europe attending the What Works Cities programme.
The training was focused around legal aspects of data opening but it also defined what data and open data are about as well as what activities should be undertaken by the city hall to be able to implement the policy of openness with full success. It’s possible that similar cooperation will give us a chance to lead a training for public officers in Vilnius.
