At the end of June in Gdansk will be the 20th conference “Cities on the Internet”. Foundation ePaństwo will talk in a panel about social applications based on open data.

Conference “Cities on the Internet” (polish: Konferencja “Miasta w Internecie) is Poland’s largest meeting of representatives of local government, central government, the ICT sector, the media, non-governmental organizations and the scientific community dedicated to the modernization and development of the Polish thanks to the effective use of digital solutions.

Organized for the first time in 1997, was first this kind conference in Central and Eastern Europe that brings together mainly representatives of local governments. Today collects every year approx. 400 representatives from all sectors: public, private and scientific research on the debates about everyday life and the future of the digital development of the Polish.

Program coordinator of Open City, Katarzyna Mikolajczyk occurs in a panel on urban social applications with Krzysztof Garski, Office of the Mayor of Gdańsk;  Tadeusz Osowski, deputy director of the Office of Information and Information Processing, Warsaw City Hall;  Rafał Kleger-Rudomin, Code for Poland, Tri-City; Sebastian Grabowski, director of the Orange Lab
